Somebody come and play...somebody come and play today-ay....

I'm bored. I've been wandering around the house looking for stuff to do. Pile of bills to file? nah. later. Organize closet? Maybe next week. Make something nice for dinner that doesn't come in a package? mmmm...no. Work on yoga retreats and find new locations? I'll get around to that. Workout? HA!

Blog? I guess so.

Sigh. BORED! Can someone please come visit me? You can bring your kids!

I need to plan a party or SOMEthing. Though, last time I "planned" a party I bought ALL this stuff for it....annnnddd never had it. I wonder if there's a support group for people like me.

THIS is why people "my age" have kids and A LIFE. Because old people need stuff to do, and kids are as good as anything else.

Since I have nothing to actually write, I'm gonna send you to my favorite authors. And then maybe you can tell me what to read and I'll go buy it and then I won't be bored! It's a win/win situation, really.

Sarah's Key
I could not put this book down. Okay fine, I had it on CD when I drove from NY. I was RIVETED. I imagine it's just as good to read.

Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man
This may actually be my all time favorite book. SO FUNNY. Definite classic.

Anything by Laurie Notaro.
Best part? If you haven't read her, you can start at the beginning (Idiot girl's action adventure club) and there are like, MANY books after. I have to put those books down sometimes because she's so damn funny. They're not fiction, which makes 'em even more hilarious.

There are tons more. I left out the obvious authors that I figure you all already know and love. How much would you have punched me in my cyber face if I had listed "Twilight" HAHA!

When I get outta my "bored phase" I'll tell u all about my fun HS reunion and how I looked like Nell Carter.

So, will you be out of your bored phase tomorrow.

I would like to add God as my favorite author of the Bible.

I don't think you really want me to send my kids over, do you?? 'Cause I totally will put them in dog carriers and fly them over.

Can't wait to hear about the reunion.

Twilight tops my list...Please don't hit me...

I wish I was bored! Instead, I'm procrastinating. Which I guess you are, too. :)

Can't quite get my kids over there but you can at least read the blog and laugh along with me....provided my blog is actually funny. Hmmm...now I'm feeling a little self-conscious...

BTW, I may have said this before, but I rarely meet people who (like me) list Pee Wee's Big Adventure as one of their favourite movies. I'm not sure what that means. :)

Hope you find some excitement!

I liked Kathy Griffin's bio. However, Aria, over at Aria'z ink mentioned the Absolutely Fabulous box set today. That would be well worth vegging out with. I know you wanted to read and all, but reading is good for you, like broccoli and Britcoms are like Hostess Cupcakes. Your choice.

Can't wait to hear about the reunion! Hey, I've been in that bored place for YEARS. It gets entertaining after a bit...

I agree with Carin - COME HERE! You are one of the weird people who actually like snow and I am sure it is going to start any day! Your doggie sitter is ready - Cameron's room flooded so you will have to sleep upstairs with us but that will make it even more like a big slumber party!!! (if not, I am still hoping to come out in December)

Maybe you should take up World of Warcraft. It's time consuming and social, but doesn't require you do do anything physically demanding. Or maybe you should drive down to San Diego to visit me and Kris!

Daisy Fay is also one of my all time favorites. Have you read Cold Sassy Tree? I found that most enjoyable.

I am bored tonight too. You should have had me over and fixed me a nice dinner and I would have spilled a cup of water all over the table, and told non nonsensical knock knock jokes. Like a kid. And then I would have fixed your washing machine and admired your shoe collection.

Why did my comment just post as Anonymous when I put my name in? Because I am NOT the one who posted the snarky Anonymous response on your Moxie post. If I had something snarky to say, I would say it to your face... if I ever saw your face... Ha!

HAHAH! EVE....I read the anonymous one first and was all "uh...CREEPY!" because WHO EVEN KNEW ABOUT MY WASHING MACHINE!! And then I read your second one.

PHEW.

I would HATE to think that Rychelle had a rival stalker out there.

As it says in my title of my blog, I haven't been bored in years, but I am one hell of a procrastinator! You must post about your reunion!!! I mean, if you feel like it.

peewee, if you're still bored, I second Nikol's offer!

I liked The Gurnsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society. It's endearing and doesn't really require any brain power to read.

I'm bored too. I have a gazillion things that I should be doing, yet I'm totally lacking in motivation to do anything. And that is why I'm Super Mom for Halloween...I like humorous costumes.

we should go to NYC and see bye bye birdie!!!!! for reals.

Also, I'm reading Frankenstein this week if you want to join in. I'm hosting a couples book club this Friday at my house and that's the book. It's sure to be a disaster.
